HECO to discuss wildfire safety strategies at Lahaina Community Webinar to be held April 16

A presentation on Hawaiian Electric Co. (HECO)’s wildfire safety strategies and new technologies will be given during the County of Maui Office of Recovery’s monthly Lahaina Community Webinar on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to HECO’s presentation, updates will be provided on current operations by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), environmental monitoring at the Temporary Debris Storage site from the County Department of Environmental Management (DEM), and the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan by the Office of Recovery.

The webinar also will include a Q&A session with presenters and panelists representing various departments and agencies, including the County’s Office of Recovery, Department of Public Works (4Leaf), Department of Water Supply, DEM, and Department of Planning; USACE; and HECO.
