This Phase 1 project involves constructing 72 new multifamily affordable housing units on Front Street in Lahaina to replace units lost during the 2023 Maui Wildfires. Of these units, 71 will be reserved for households earning at or below 80% of AMI, representing approximately 99% of all units.
February 2026: Project conditionally awarded CDBG-DR funds
May 2026: Environmental Review initiated
June 2026: Project design underway
