Brief Description:

The Interim Housing Program is an ongoing multi-sector collaborative approach designed to provide opportunities for residents to bridge from disaster recovery temporary housing, to post-disaster permanent housing. This planning effort provides housing pathways for residents through collaborative Federal, State, and local support programs. The scope is designed for the system to operate holistically and efficiently to pipeline residents into newly funded development and constructed housing as it becomes available.

July 2024: Governor Green Announces Interim Housing Program for Maui Wildfire Survivors
June 2026: Drafting of the Temporary to Permanent Interim Housing Strategic Plan continues.
